Welcome to my lifestyle and home decor blog. I am a busy working mom, and my husband and I have been working at updating our older house since 2022. I am sharing our past, present, and current projects. I am hoping that by sharing our successes and mistakes I can inspire one of you to take risks and create a home you are proud of.

A Little About Me

Hi,

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my writing and home improvement projects. I want to share a little about me and why I started this blog. I live in South Surrey, BC. I am raising our two young daughters with my husband while we both work full time. I work in healthcare and my husband works in a sales position. Between my shift work, and my husband’s occasional travel for work, fitting in home improvements can be tricky. We never intended to do as many home improvements as we have but the housing market here in the lower mainland has forced us to buy homes that require some "sprucing up".

I enjoy learning new skills, and find a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction in creating a living space that reflects our personal style. I have wanted to start a blog like this for awhile and now that we no longer have girls in diapers I am giving it a go! I am hoping that I can inspire you as I share my journey. Also, if you are a busy, working mom like myself I want to show you that it is definitely possible to learn how to use power tools and create a home you are truly proud of. It is possible to use simple fixes and home decor to fall in love with your home.

Besides enjoying home improvements, I love spending time with my family outside, working out, and reading on the couch with a good cup of coffee (ACATAR anyone?) Thanks again for taking the time to follow me on my journey.
