On today's post I want to share 5 DIY Hacks I have picked up along the journey of our renovations. From one busy working parent to another it is always good to share any tips and tricks that can make life a little easier. Even if you aren't a parent, the message rings true.
So, listed below are 5 DIY Hacks I use to make my Projects Easier:
Write a list of supplies needed before you begin, take inventory of what you already have! Doing this little bit of prep beforehand has prevented me from buying doubles of supplies. I also recommend buying bulk or finding deals on the things I need in order to save money. Examples are paint rollers, magic erasers, paint trays etc. Every little bit counts in today's economy!
Research! Look at other blogs or IG posts that have done similar projects. Learn from their mistakes and experiences, and then make it your own. You don’t have to be the first at everything to make it unique!
Ask for help! If someone in your life has done something similar, ask for their help or guidance. This can save you a lot of time and frustration. You will also learn a lot in the process.
Make a budget and a REALISTIC timeline to complete the project (and be prepared to add extra time as things usually take longer that we think)
Prepare to make mistakes, this is part of learning and trying new things. If you feel frustrated take some space and try again later. This has helped me a lot of times. I’ve been covered in paint before, so frustrated with how my progress was going. In those times, when I’ve taken a break, had something to eat or have gone for a walk and come back to the project with fresh eyes, I feel so much more optimistic and it always goes better.

I hope you find these hacks useful for your own projects. I would love to hear how they work for you, please feel free to comment below and share your hacks if you'd like!
